Studies the basic needs of industrial firms in the management of materials. May include fundamentals of production control and purchasing, as well as their relationship to other departments. May also include processing and scheduling of materials; purchasing, and inventory control as well as cost elements, make or buy decisions, and inventory classifications. Lecture 3 hours per week.
