Instructs the student in the practice of assisting the physician with patient care in the medical office. Procedures include vital signs, sterile techniques, examination procedures, care of equipment and supplies, electrocardiographic and radiographic procedures, pharmacology, medication and injection administration, and professional ethics. Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week.
