All BRCC requirements and electives must be taken from the courses listed below. Any course taken which is not listed will not count toward graduation requirements unless it is approved in advance by the Admissions and Records Officer and a division chairperson.

Please Note: The courses listed on the next page reflect graduation requirements for the A.A.&S. degree at Blue Ridge Community College. Our designated degree requirements do not necessarily fulfill the general education requirements of the college a student may wish to transfer to unless there is a specific articulation agreement to that effect. Currently, BRCC has such agreements with many of the state-sponsored four-year colleges and universities. Many of the courses listed on the next page do not transfer to every four-year college or university. It is the student's responsibility to check with a BRCC counselor or advisor, to consult the transfer guides of four year colleges, to look up transfer requirements on the Internet, and/or to check directly with the four-year college students wish to transfer to in order to determine if particular courses transfer.

Students are responsible for ensuring that prerequisites have been met before registering for any course. Consult the "Course Descriptions" section of this catalog and student handbook for further information.
