Drafting
Degree:Certificate
Major:Drafting
Length:Two semesters (one-year) curriculum*

The Certificate in Drafting is designed primarily for graduates who seek full-time employment in the area of drafting and design (computer-aided) immediately upon completion of the community college program. Persons who are seeking their first employment in a drafting and design position and those presently employed in the field who seek a promotion may benefit from this program. Specifically, the objectives of the program are to prepare graduates for careers as a drafter, CADD (computer-aided drafting and design) operator, or in occupations that require drafting skills (e.g. engineering technician).

Many of the credits for the Certificate in Drafting may be applied toward completion of the Industrial Technology Diploma and/or the Associate in Applied Science Degree in Mechanical Design Technology.

* For a full-time student, part-time students determine their own pace.
