The Diploma in Industrial Technology with a Specialization in Industrial Practices is designed primarily for persons who seek full-time employment in the area of industrial production/safety management immediately upon completion of the community college program. Persons who are first seeking employment in this field or who seek a promotion may benefit from this program. Specifically, the objectives of the program are to prepare graduates for careers as production managers or safety managers.

Many of the credits earned in the Industrial Technology Program may be applied toward completion of the Associate in Applied Science Degree Program in Mechanical Design Technology.
