The Associate in Applied Science Degree Program with a major in Accounting is designed primarily for people who seek full-time employment in the accounting field immediately upon completion of the community college program. People who are seeking their first employment in an accounting position and those presently employed in this field who seek a promotion may benefit from this program. Specifically, the objectives of the program are to prepare graduates for careers as accounting trainees, junior accountants, accounting technicians, bookkeepers or office managers.

Full-time students may complete the program in two years; part-time students determine their own pace.
