General Studies
Degree:Associate in Arts & Sciences
Major:General Studies
Length:Four-semester (two-year) program

The General Studies curriculum offers students the flexibility to design a program which meets their own particular interests and objectives and fulfills the standard requirements for the Associate in Arts and Sciences degree. The purpose of the General Studies program is to provide a degree option for students who:

  1. Enter the College with numerous transfer credits which would be more applicable to the General Studies program than to other associate degree curricula.
  2. Have defined certain occupational and individual goals and wish to structure their own program to meet those goals.

The General Studies program consists of general academic studies and is not intended to meet the specific transfer or occupational objectives found in the College's other curricula. The College/University Transfer program is recommended for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university.

The General Studies program is a two-year program for full-time students. Part-time students determine their own pace.
